Like most allotment holders, I avoid waste. One person’s discarded pallet is another man’s compost bin panel!

Just basically some of the ways we try to save not just money but also save energy and try to reduce our impact on the environment and reduce our carbon dioxide output.

This doesn’t mean we live a low quality lifestyle, far from it. My father told me a business truth that is very appropriate; The Poor need a Bargain and the Rich buy a Bargain. By this he meant that wealthy people rarely got like that by wasting money or paying more than they need to for things.

Sadly I'm not wealthy, but I don't feel poor by any means - I've written some of our tips and lifestyle into a book you might like - Low Cost Living and I've started another web site devoted to the subject of low cost living and self sufficiency

Whatever your view on global warming, mine is that we could be passing on a terrible problem to our children, there are many changes we can make to our lives that are so small we hardly notice them but they help our planet. Unless you have your own space ship, you too have an interest in our environment.
