There are a large number of organisations to help the poultry keeper in the UK. From clubs for general poultry to organisations for specific breeds of chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, bantams etc. If your organisation is not listed, please submit it to me
Founded in 1877, we are a registered charity which exists to safeguard the interests all pure and traditional breeds of poultry. As guardians of the 'British Poultry Standards', the club has a crucial role in safeguarding stock bloodlines.
The BWA is an association of enthusiasts interested in keeping, breeding and conserving all kinds of waterfowl including wildfowl, domestic ducks and geese. It is a registered charity dedicated to education about waterfowl and for their conservation
Modern Game are a man-made breed originating from the fighting game fowl. They were developed between 1850 and 1900 and their full history is well documented in the old poultry books.
The Dutch Bantam in its country of origin has been around for a long time, though in Holland a club was only formed in 1946. The breed first appeared in this country around the late 1960's, and a club was formed in 1982.
The "Orpington" takes it's name from the village of Orpington in Kent England, here the originator of the breed, Wiliam Cook, had his farm. The first Orpingtons bred were The Black variety introduced in 1886.
Surrey Poultry Society was founded in 1981 to encourage the keeping of domestic fowls of all kinds. From humble beginnings the club has gone from strength to strength.
The British Call Duck Club was launched on the 19th August 1997 so that persons with particular interest in Call Ducks could come together to promote the breeding and showing of Calls and to exchange ideas and information on relevant and related matters

Anyone may subscribe to membership of Turkey Club UK, whether as a national member or an international member. Although most members will probably be keeping turkeys, it is not required.

The Goose Club is open to anyone with an interest in domestic geese. The club publishes a 24-32 page journal three times a year, full of information, news, anecdotes, shows, sales and members' adverts.
Named after the village of Welsum, this Dutch breed has in its make-up such breeds as the Partridge Cochin, Partridge Wyandotte and Partridge Leghorn and still later the Baraevelder and the Rhode Island Red.
