Increase the ventilation in your greenhouse or conservatory by installing this powerful Thermostatically Controlled Extractor Fan to automatically remove the hot air from your greenhouse when it reaches the temperature you set on the thermostat.
A window mounted unit with manual storm guard to prevent back draughts. |Suitable for use in single glazed windows.
Automatically controlled by a remote thermostat (6' / 183cm lead), it switches on and off at your chosen temperature.
Two models available:
Room Extractor Fan - includes a conventional Room Thermostat for use in conservatories which are used in a living area.
Greenhouse Extractor Fan - includes a robust Greenhouse Thermostat which will withstand splashes of water and operate in greenhouses and conservatories where higher humidity levels prevail.
Size: 8?" (21.5cm) diameter x 2 1/8" (54mm).
Weight: 2? lbs (1.06kg).
Wattage: 32 watts.
Fan speed: 2000 r.p.m.
Air changes: 400 cubic metres per hour e.g. air in a 12' x 8' conservatory is changed every 3? minutes.
If you're extracting air from a building some air must replace it, so to get the maximum benefit from your extractor fan use it in conjunction with some other form of ventilation e.g. automatic roof or louvre window.
Installation Information:
To install, a 7?" (18.5cm) diameter aperture should be cut in a pane of glass - it's probably best to get a local glazier to do this!
For safety the unit will not operate unless the storm guard is open.
It should be mounted a minimum of 7'6" (2.3 metres) above floor level; if this height is not available and it is installed lower down it should be fitted with a safety guard (available to purchase separately). This is a galvanised mesh cover simply attached to the surrounding glass by four suction pads. |
