Cobnut Trees

Fruit Trees, Nut Trees and Fruit Bushes

If you are going to plant a tree or bush, then it is going to be there for some years. So it's well worth spending some time looking at the different varieties and going for something that will be productive and providing you with a good crop in years to come. Time spent to prepare the ground properly will repay you many times over.

Nuts - Cobnut Kent Cob

Sweet, succulent nuts! A superb performer under UK conditions, with the finest flavour of all the varieties we've sampled - eat them green in early autumn when they are sweet and succulent! The trees produce attractive catkins in spring. Supplied 60-90cm (2-3') high.

Cobnut Kentish Cobs

Cobnut Kentish Cobs is probably the best-known UK variety and easiest to grow in the garden. This self fertile tree produces a mass of yellow/green catkins in the early spring hopefully followed by windy days to aid pollination resulting in a heavy crop of cobnuts in autumn.
